Blog 3 Idioms Mandi P.

I ended up doing two versions of this picture. The second one, posted about, ended up coming out more like I wanted. The idioms for these two pictures are "There is a silver lining in every cloud." I love the sadness in the young boys eyes, which is why I think the second one ended up better.

And after finishing those... I got a bit bored so I decided to work on another one that I thought would just be fun. Ever heard a car called a lemon? This is taking that saying a bit literal.

The Road by Josh Fay

Inspired by the novel by Jack Kerouac, The Road is a metaphor for freedom from the constraints of ordinary life. As in his book, Dharma Bums, even the most innocuous of people, place and things can be part of the Dao. After all, it's not the destination but the journey that garners the most experience, and the Road is the vehicle of vagabond spiritual seekers.
